Sepulveda Transit Corridor Partners (STCP)
The Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project is a high-quality, innovative transit option that is focused on improving travel between the San Fernando Valley and the Westside providing a critical link to our region's infrastructure. This mass transit project was included in Measure M, the 2016 Metro sales tax initiative to fund transportation projects in LA County. Through a Metro contract that was awarded, the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Partners (STCP) aims to lead in the advancement of a rail transit solution, specifically with Alternatives 4 & 5, that will ease congestion that is concentrated along the 405 to reduce air pollution and climate change-causing emissions.
With Dakota Communication’s extensive experience building community support for several large-scale infrastructure projects in the Southern CA region, we have led the strategic planning and outreach of STCP’s “Open House” community meetings that brought awareness about this innovative project as well equitable contracting opportunities to local elected officials, business stakeholders and diverse communities along the Valley and Westside.
Additionally, Dakota developed high-level memos for the Metro leadership that summarized the outcomes of these diverse Community Meetings and STCP’s ongoing outreach efforts for community input on this project. With our comprehensive services on civic and community engagement, we monitor METRO activities, provide STCP with political guidance on key stakeholder groups and community leaders, and advise them on strategic communications plans.
